How to make phone calls avoiding paying for 0870, 0845 numbers etc
Note: Since this page was first created BT have started giving free (as long as they are no more than 60 minutes) calls to
0845 and 0870 numbers with their "free to landline" packages. Whenever it is free to call a geographical number then it is also
free to call an 0845 or 0870 number. So, if you are with BT as the service provider and you call within the "free" period
and you want to call an 0845 or 0870 number, read no
further!!!!
This page gives you information about how to make UK calls using normal "geographical" numbers instead of the 0870, 0845 etc numbers. If you are on a payment plan that gives you free calls to normal landlines but not to "08.." numbers this is what you should do...
